About Guided Physics
AI-guided physics education for curious minds
What is Guided Physics?
Guided Physics is an AI-powered physics learning website that acts like a complete set of college physics courses. Each course introduces the subject, explains key topics and prerequisites, and encourages students to interact with AI physics personas — specialized teaching personalities designed to explain physics at any level.
The detailed learning happens through AI chat, suggested prompts, follow-up questions, practice problems, worked examples, and guided exploration. You choose your AI guide, set your difficulty level, and ask the questions you actually have.
How AI is used
Guided Physics uses large language models (via OpenAI) to power the AI chat system. Each AI persona is given a detailed teaching identity and instructed to:
- ✓Stay focused on physics education
- ✓Explain at the selected difficulty level
- ✓Use hints and guidance before full answers
- ✓Include equations, examples, and analogies
- ✓End responses with suggested follow-up questions
- ✓Avoid unsafe or misleading information
AI responses are for educational purposes and may not be perfectly accurate. We encourage students to verify important information with qualified instructors.

“I'd been struggling with classical mechanics for weeks. One conversation with Dr. Isaac Rowan and it finally clicked. The way the AI builds up from first principles is genuinely brilliant.”
“I'm a homeschool parent and this has been a game-changer for my daughter. She can ask questions without feeling embarrassed, set her own pace, and actually enjoys physics now.”
“I used Guided Physics to brush up on quantum mechanics before a job interview in photonics. The depth was exactly right — not dumbed down, but not overwhelming either.”
“As a high school physics teacher I use this to find new ways to explain tricky concepts. The five different AI personas mean I can see the same idea approached from completely different angles.”
“I'm in my 50s and always wanted to understand relativity properly. I finally do. The AI never made me feel like my questions were stupid — and I had a lot of them.”
“The practice problem mode is fantastic. It doesn't just give you the answer — it nudges you toward it. That's exactly how you actually learn physics.”
